Sometimes when you see someone, you just know. Bryan knew. Bryan would see Victoria walking around their college campus. Of course he noticed her! She is absolutely stunning! He decided to shoot his shot and found her on facebook. And the rest is history, folks! In other words: JUST DO IT. (insert Shia LaBeouf gif here)
I was so thrilled when Victoria reached out to me to be their wedding and engagement photographer. They both have deep family traditions and wanted to keep that going with a traditional Vietnamese tea ceremony. I had never heard of this and once I did a little googling I was IN! WOW!! So much culture and tradition and meaningful moments. Bringing two families together. Their modern day tea ceremony, and traditional wedding afterward was just.. perfect.
Both of their families are so incredibly kind and full of love and passion for each other. Bryan and Victoria are the kind of people who will go out of their way to ensure everyone is having a great time.
They chose Baldoria on the Water in Lakewood, Colorado as their wedding ceremony and reception venue. I hadn’t had the opportunity to work here before – and this place is amazing! Its nestled back between commercial spaces but .. you guys.. I mean just look at the photos! It’s gorgeous! I cannot wait to shoot here again!
We were a bit worried about the rain all day. Colorado has been incredibly rainy this summer. The forecast showed rain basically all day. It did rain. It rained hard. BUT it stopped just in time for photos outside, ceremony, and reception. I am a firm believer that everything happens for a reason, every thing just works out how it should be, and this was the case that day. The overcast skies led to stunning light for their photos and ceremony.
Ive been so excited to share this wedding.. so here it is!
Take a look at their engagement session, too, which will soon be published on Rocky Mountain Bride!
