Bobi + Colton | Boulder, CO Elopement

October 23, 2018

I love elopements. Why? They’re couple focused. No fussing with worrying about decor, or guests, or place settings, or really anything. Just get to your spot and enjoy these moments with your love. That doesn’t mean that the nerves don’t exist. Believe me, they are still there! Its still SO incredible and magical and absolutely beautiful. Take Bobi and Colton. They decided to elope and then have a big party a month later. Bobi and Colton knew they wanted to elope. They decided on Sunrise amphitheater in Boulder, CO! Such an epic spot!

These two… Ok, I do this for a living. I see couples get married every weekend. But these two.. I can’t think of another word other than soul mates. Puzzle pieces. They compliment each other so incredibly well. The way Colton looks at Bobi, the way she looks up at him when he thinks she isn’t looking.. These two were made for each other.

Here is there story:
“We met in middle school and have always been friends who hung out with a group of multiple mutual friends through the 12 years of knowing each other. We ended up at the same college and randomly even took two college classes two semesters in a row. His senior year of college we decided to just hang out, the two of us, to catch up since it had been a few months since we’d seen eachother. We went to breakfast and he ended up kissing me after. We both admitted to having crushes on each other since Middle School. We have been together ever since. Fast forward exactly four years later and he surprises me with a trip around town to each one of our favorite places and starts giving me notes about why each place is special to our relationship and a small map puzzle of where we are. He takes me to dinner at the same place that we had our first ‘date’where we admitted our feelings then he tells me we have one place left to go but he forgot something super important at his parents so we have to swing by their place on the way. We get there and he ends up having the back porch lit up with lights and about 70 of our pictures hung up throughout our 4 years together. His best friend comes out playing our song on the saxophone and I'm still thinking this is just a very sweet anniversary gift since he pulls stuff like this all the time. We dance and look at pictures then he gets down on one knee proposes and of course I cry happy tears and say yes!He then surprises me with a small party of both our parents, my best friend who currently lives out of town in North Carolina and 2 of our other best friends and we celebrate with lots of champagne and laughs. We are both born and raised in Colorado, even growing up no more than 10 minutes apart. We have lived together for a year and have the cutest fat cat named Oliver and a lizard named Dojo.”
