Sam & Max’s October Wedding at the University of Denver
Sam and Max’s wedding day felt like the kind of fall day you wish you could bottle up and keep forever. Soft golden light, crisp air, and the entire University of Denver campus glowing in peak autumn color—it was giving effortless romance in the dreamiest way. Their engagement session was just as relaxed and fun as their wedding day.
They chose DU for its timeless architecture and tree-lined paths, and it couldn’t have fit their vision more perfectly.
A Golden, Intimate Ceremony @ Evans Memorial Chapel
Their ceremony at the Evans Memorial Chapel on the DU campus was intimate, emotional, and full of those quiet, meaningful moments that somehow feel both grounded and magical at the same time. The light filtered through the leaves just right, wrapping everything in this warm, golden glow that made the entire moment feel soft and cinematic.
Portraits That Feel Like Them
We wandered through campus, chasing light and color, letting things unfold naturally. No rushing, no over-posing—just the two of them fully present with each other.
Sam and Max have this easy, connected energy that makes everything feel light and genuine. The kind of love that doesn’t need to try too hard—it just is.
The Sweetest Personal Detail
One of my favorite details from their day was such a “them” moment—they included their dogs as their cake topper.
It was playful, personal, and such a perfect little nod to a huge part of their life together. Those are always the details that hit the hardest—the ones that make a wedding feel less like a production and more like a true reflection of who you are.
The In-Between Moments
The laughter with friends, the quick hand squeezes, the deep breaths before walking down the aisle—those are the moments that quietly hold everything together.
The ones you don’t plan for, but end up meaning the most.
Why a University of Denver Wedding is So Special
A fall wedding at the University of Denver is kind of unmatched. The colors, the light, the mix of classic architecture and nature—it all comes together in a way that feels elevated but still completely relaxed.
It’s one of those locations that does the heavy lifting for you.
