When Sam emailed me about her wedding and engagement ideas I was over the moon! Sam and Luke were wanting a sunrise engagement session in Grand Lake, Colorado! I woke up at 3 am to meet them at the base of the trail. After, we went over to RMNP to the top of trail ridge road for some mountain top shots! These are probably my favorite photos Ive ever taken.

Here is their proposal story as told by Sam:

“Luke planned a wonderful weekend get away to Steamboat Springs. He booked us a beautiful AirBnb and planned out all of our activities. I literally had NO IDEA that he was planning to pop the question. On Saturday morning we decided to go for a hike at Fish Creek, which is the first place Luke and I hiked together in Colorado when we moved here in April 2018. It was a beautiful morning. There was a sheet of snow on the trees, the sun was out and the air was the perfect temp. We walked down to the bridge which went over a (frozen) water fall and creek. After 20 minutes of waiting for families to depart the area, Luke got down on one knee and asked me to spend the rest of my life with him. It was my most favorite day!”
